There is no reset. I would say that the main board has died if it won't power on. This early model smartdrive (this model is not a gentle annie) had a control board that had an aluminium tube through which the inlet water flowed before entering the tub. This was a heatsink to cool some of the components on the board. Over time the aluminium corrodes and pin holes form which allow water to weep out on to the board. When the power was on all the time it probably kept it dry enough to get away with but would of failed eventually. Power off has allowed the moisture to take over and the board has died. Only way to tell for sure is get someone out to test it and replace the board if necessary. Won't be cheap for that model control board and you have to ask if it is worth it as it is 20 years old that model.
