how can i fix my washer. there is a dirty water smell coming from inside the drum. ive checked the pump and its clean. and the waste pipe is clear and not sucking water back in. any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks for that but we have tried loads of cleaning options, including vinegar, mild bleach and proprietary washing machine cleaner and very hot wash also. This freshens for a short time but the smell comes back and there is gunge all round the inner part of the seal. Wonder if there is something trapped in the drum or if the thermostat is faulty and the water not hot enough for the loads??

ian best way to sort it put on highest temp wash you can and put some of the dishwasher cleaner advertised in it it will do the job just the same
