Heater/AC fault, 2001 Peugeot 406 GLX 1.8 16v petrol?

Hi, Hope you can help, I have a heater blower fan fault on my Peugeot 406 GLX estate, basically the fan has packed up working altogether, I've removed the fan from the car & tested on a 12v supply and it works perfectly, I have replaced the resistor unit for a new one and the dash heater control module but still nothing, the thermostat appears to be working ok as I can alter the heater temp in the car when driving due to the ram air effect, All the electrics on the car are working fine so up to now i have not tested the earth on the car. I'm at a loss at what to look at and although my Haynes manual shows the wiring diagram it dosn't tell you where the components are situated on the car. I would be very grateful for any help / suggestions on what to try next.
Kind Regards
Pete
