how can i get my transit to turn over?

the starter on my transit deisel was whirring replaced it with another i had in garage but have nothing at all when i turn the key is there a reset switch or any other suggestions would be great thanks

if you mean no electrics at all-you,ve probably blown fuse on battery earth lead! i am assuming that its a new model transit with battery under seat.
