why does the water not heat up in my servis washing machine?

The water in my servis washing machine does not heat and also sometimes takes hours to finish its cycle.Anyone know why?

probably all due to the heater not working.need to take the back off and test the heater with a multimeter.if it is open circuit it will need replacing
