Zanussi ZWF1221W lock error light but seems fine?

Hello
Apparently the door is the error (so says the light sequence) but it's opening & closing fine, the lock is moving when it's squeezed, is engaging & keeping the door locked, so it's as if it just isn't sensing the door. Is there a way, without opening the washer up, of fixing this / bypassing the door lock in order to engage the washing cycles, for example by way of pushing specific buttons?
(Or are the machines not quite as computerised as that )
Many thanks in advance

could be a faulty door lock or it has blown the triac on the pcb.DO NOT bypass lock as it can spin with the door open ripping limbs off!!
