Passive infra red sensor fault?

Hi I'm looking for some sensible advice regarding a sensor I've had fitted in my new conservatory. The sensor has been wired into a spare zone inside the main control unit.

It has been wired into zone seven and programmed as immediate, but we keep getting false activations on zone seven when set.Does this suggest a wiring or sensor fault?.

The installer won't return my calls.

Please help.

Makes me wonder if the op's come back to read their posts at all mate, and also me thinking that most of the posts on here of late are of a none genuine nature.

Can't prove that theory but it does make me wonder at times.

Only a fool gts :D
Umm can i recommend the Optex MX-50QZ ?,

Well suited for that kind of environment and reasonably priced at the moment. :)

Ps your installer needs a lesson in quad beam technology and a very big kick up the arse.

e manno,what kind of idiot fits a pir in a conserve ?????

gts, July 2013
he should have fitted a duel tech sensor,i.e a microwave and infra red unit, any fool knows that a conserve gets very hot, micro wave not trigger with heat but movement, infra red triggers with heat,so if you fit a duel tech both have to trigger to trip the alarm,ur installer should have know this, get a pro in

Then you've come to the right place Zoe :)
I'd say this so called "installer" has chose and fitted the wrong sensor for that environment, keep trying to contact him and get him back to do a proper job.
