anti-crease/end button blinking on Miele Tumble Dryer T5206 (PROFESSIONAL)?

Hello,

My dryer has stopped working. The anticrease/end button keeps on blinking, and the display shows the number 8. The drum will turn for a bit (but there is no heat) and stops after a while. This problem appeared after a Miele technician worked on my appliance to change a the "handles" inside the drum that had a corrosion problem. After he re-assembeled the dryer this problem with the blinking light appeared. Now he can't find what is wrong and is pressuring me to buy a new circuit board for the dryer! I believe that the circuit board got "stuck" somehow. Does anyone know if I can reset it? Or what else might be wrong? Thanks for your help!

Probably sensor on fan housing is disconnected

If your Miele technician was a technician actually employed by Miele and not an independent repair company who happen to repair Miele machines then he would be more qualified than anyone on here to know what the problem is. I would think if the lights are flashing in a rhythmical pattern and not randomly then the control unit is in control and is indicating a problem with another component. Unfortunately I don't know what this sequence is indicating. Best to consider which parts were removed during the repair and were they all put back correctly, if drum removed possibly static brush sensor on top of drum became disconnected or connections to the paddles (there may be a carbon brush in the idle end of the shaft that has fallen out) Cheers
