we have an LG intellowasher DD - it is making lots of noises when spinning?

The noises are loud and banging - not caused by any foreign objects ie coins - could it be the bearings? If so are they easy to change

Hi - I'm having a similar problem. The noise I'm getting is not a banging but is more like a clicking, Ticking - slattering sound mainly when rinsing and taking on water. I have checked the drum during operation and does not appear to be unbalanced. There's no evidence of electrical burning or sparking. I'm begiing to think that my problem is a bearing breaking down. How would you describe the type of noise and when do you hear it? - Dave

If there's no "up and down movement" (I've never heard of this myself) chances are one of the two counterbalance weights (top and bottom of drum) have come unseated (they're seated by four bolts each.) See how much room there is for the washer drum to move before it strikes the front panel - there should be a couple of inches (I'm currently experiencing this problem myself - there's about a half-inch of room, and I'm trying to find some information on taking the front panel off so that I can "rig" the bottom counterbalance until parts come in (and I can get some laundry done!))

Cheers
