struggling to get the hobs/top off my Rangemaster 110 cooker?

I have managed to to get all the screws off the top of my Rangemaster cooker. It is a dual fuel cooker the top is calor gas and the oven and grill are electric. I want to bypass the clock as its packed in. I can lift the left hand side but the right hand side will only move a bit not enough to see in or do anything. What else should I do, but please make it simple. THANKS.

Hi I did it, managed to slide the the top right hand side to the right a bit then lifted it to get to the screws on the top of the panel then the same on the bottom of the panel, then dropped it down easy access to the clock wiring disconnected the blue wire and taped both ends together and put everything back. Works a treat. Thanks for the advice. x
