I have just acquired a bernina 807 sewing machine it is in the case with a few feet attachments but no foot pedal or lead or instructions I know I could probably get these offline but a friend hashad alook at the machine and says the brushes in the motor are worn down Would this mean i would need another motor or could it be repaired with new brushes? I am really more worried now about the motor

you can fit new brushes not needed to be exact as any normally skilled person can file them to size iff they does not slide easily in holder.very good machine if you can get it running.if all else fail you can fit universal motor with little effort and modification
