Atlas 1DS-800 security alarm?

How can I stop the alarm from self arming?.It arms it self automatically at 23.00 every evening, but we can cancel with our code.Any ideas as it is becoming a nuisance.

Yep can't see any benefits of using this feature for a domestic environment, but commercial, nine to five business with a forgetful manager then maybe.

As said mate I've never used the feature,or given it any thought on seeing it browsing through engineering menu's.

e manno, September 2013
e manno you know how the user can get mixed up with normal key in pin ,would you really want to set up a system that auto arms ????????think about it

gts, September 2013
Yep most can auto set Alarm, but as with most options in engineering this feature among others are seldom used.

I'm aware of the auto set feature but I don't know the IDS-800 as such.

I'm only working here from the manual :-0

when I look at a scany keypad and then look at the galaxy there is no doubt wich is the better looking one,in my humble opinon, have never had a scanny keypad fall apart,(cept for that stupid cover on the early 9800 pad ) :-) I still have a new cover some where !!!!!!and I have a 9100 32 years old still in perfect working order !!!the customer want it replaced because,it"dosent go with my new decoration"i put it on a board and wired it up to play with it,(aint I a sad bugger)

gts, September 2013
I know you not dig at me alarm guy no harm done :-)

gts, September 2013
Scanny can autoset.
Almost all can.

Seen all makes fall apart. Nothing will beat a 9100 for solidness.
Unfortunately we have to evolve and that means attitudes as well as equipment. IP is going to take us over in the end.
Time to make our retirement plans and let the IT guys fight it out.
Then again we seem to sort them out most of the time so there may be hope. Seems my CaT5e and other terminations fair better than the IT gurus :D

And not a dig at you m8, I was just commenting.
Us "oldies" have to stick together!

Kind regards

I make no assumptions alarm guy I don't use menvier galaxy would not waste my time with them, have ripped a few out though each to his own as they say :-)so you are making large assumptions about me !!!! I have tried some of the galaxy range was not over impressed with them ,cheap looking and shoddy keypads and they fall to bits very easy I will leave them for others to use :-)

GTS

Many systems here have timers to auto set.

Menvier Galaxy to name the bigger ones.

Your making large assumptions about some things you are not aware of.

would have been nice to be told he was not in the uk e manno

gts, September 2013
Yep mate but it's a south African panel:),done a bit of digging lol.

Ray press the # key then enter 9999 at the keypad.

Let me no if any LED's light up or change from red to green.

If not mate then it a pro call out unless you try and find the installers manual.

e manno, September 2013
nz e manno,there you go :-)

gts, September 2013
Iam in new Zealand,i do not have any other codes than the one used to arm etc unfortunately, but many thanks for helping.

Ray short, September 2013
and my apologies mr short never seen on of these in the uk and I have been in the trade over 40 years now,

gts, September 2013
is it an usa system?

gts, September 2013
good for you e manno I have never seen or heard of this system,i have seen some computer interfaced systems that set and unset by themselves but they are rather expensive hope you can help this guy ,thank you for your efforts :-)

gts, September 2013
I've had a look at engineering and guess what gts?,it's in there and this is a new one for me.

It says this auto arm can be programmed by the installer and what I can gather there's no one push button to turn it off.

Ray do you know the engineering code to access the programming?.

Tell you something for nowt as well, seems the engineering code can be locked with a basic command to stop a forced default, only way is with comp and software to unlock.

Ray if you don't know the code then you need an engineer, but reading the book I'd be tempted to buy another system.

e manno, September 2013
maby its an American system ,who knows

gts, September 2013
I am trying to help you

gts, September 2013
there is no alarm panel in the uk that that auto arms mate you must key in a pin number or for old systems turn a key what does the keypad say ?

gts, September 2013
Only been in this flat for a week, since day one the alarm has armed its self every night at 11 o'clock pm without fail.If we move around after that time the alarm.Must be a setting on it to auto arm,was needing help on turning this feature off,but thanx all the same.

Ray short, September 2013
is your system a hybrid?computor controlled ??I mean interfaced with a logic panel controller ??

gts, September 2013
no alarm system is on a timer you do not make sence my friend, when was the last time you had it serviced?it could be you need a new battery in the control panel

gts, September 2013
It arms!,must be on a timer.

Ray short, September 2013
explain self arming ??do you mean its goes off ???
