Save money it says £38.99 for a diy vehicle diagnostic unit.

How good/accurate are these things compared to the real ones at the garage.

Elm327 plug in module is a good cheap diagnostic tool which can run on pc or phone.very cheap on ebay

They are usually ok for getting/deleting fault codes,you get what you pay for,you may find it won`t access some motors but be fine with others,some laptops/readers are thousands of pounds,hence a charge for getting plugged in at a garage.
