How do you check for 12v feed to heater plugs when ignition first switched on! Ldv pilot 51 plate

using multi meter set on volts,put neg lead to good earth on engine and pos lead on any heater plug wiring nut [you can do the same with a 12v test light,]get someone to turn ign on and you should get a 12v feed.also check that when heater plug warning light goes out that the feed to plugs is still there for a few seconds longer
