I have a Teknic which I believe is the same as the Candy. Dryer stopped working. If you are able to take the lid off there is a 4" wide pipe at the top which is the dryer. On top of that are two little white things. Inside are thermocouples which control the heat and switch the heat on and off. With the electricity off, I looked at these, taking the plastic cover off and fiddling around with the metal bits. Afterwards they worked and have done ever since. I assume I cleaned some dirt off them. They aren't available as spares as far as I can tell.
