Hi just wanted to update as I now believe I have found a fix. Due to me doing only short runs to work, round town etc I used a catalytic converter cleaner which you put into the fuel tank when about 1/4 full, less if you want to increase the concentration, In the following tank of fuel I used a DPF cleaner added in the same way when 1/4 tank of fuel left, take car for a good 1/2 hour drive (motorway, dual carriageway) and then drive normally. Well after using the dpf cleaner the spanner light has now gone off and is not coming on, on the first start up of the day/at all. These products are available from amazon, e-bay....I prefer amazon because of the reviews, good makes to look out for are FORTE, JLM, WYNNS. Well worth using if you do short runs where the car does not reach normal operating temperature, also saves on extortionate dealership diagnostic practices, with staff telling you a diag' takes one hour..........right ok. If you use one of these cleaners and buy a cheap code reader you will still beat most dealership diag' prices, with the bonus of turning the spanner light off without their intervention....happy days
