how do I emove my filter cap for drainage and to unblock?

Sorry been in dishwasher section too long but s12 38 still not washing machine complete model no. Filter should just unscrew, if it doesn't turn try leaning machine back and twist filter back and forth repeatedly and debris may fall to rear and allow filter to open. Complete model no is on inside of the door. Cheers

Don't recognize s12 38 as a siemens dishwasher model number, to know which filter you mean. Re post complete model no etched on top edge of stainless steel door and I may be able to help. I think you mean removal of drain pump cover. Cheers
