appliance overheat?

my combi keeps shutting down after a few minuets the red led comes on, when i reset the boiler the same thing happens ive replaced the high heat thermo and still the same, now i have been told it is appliance overheat, can anyone help

the 1st thing to check when you 1st fire the boiler up is to see if the water is getting hot and getting pumped out of the boiler. It could be an airlock in the pump or a valve not opening
