we've had the optima xm6 alarm since 1993, had no problems, but when its windy the alarm goes off and the tamper light comes on.

it went off tonight but has froozen and i cant press any buttons, how do i sort this, do i need to reset it.

and is there a way of keepin settings etc

try cutting mains power removing battery. then replace battery and power.
