Bosch S9G1B noise and smell during drying?

Hi

Our Bosch S9G1B dishwasher made two loud bang noises during the drying cycle within a couple of seconds of each other then iI noticed a smell like for example when a fire cracker has gone off!

Any suggestions please before I attempt to dismantle the housing to investigate?

ditto, you can remove it and wire the terminal block up to the mains if you feel confident, its only there to suppress for radio ,that will let u use it till you can find a replacement cap but as my friend has said, remove the plug from the mains,or,it could be a really shocking experience for you:-)

Sounds like mains input suppressor blown, it is situated where the mains cable goes in, you can remove the cable input block on most bosch machines from the rear. Slightly raise the left side then slide to the left to release it. Plug out first of course. Cheers
