Howdo i jumpstart a Citroen Xsara Picasso? ?

I have a flat battery owing to lights being left on overnight. The terminals appear to be (positive) under the bonnet on the passanger side under a plastic cap. The negative appears to be on the clip for the bonnet opening, which is indicated by an image. The question is with regard to the positive terminal. There are two posts under the plastic cover. One has a + sign and the other has a + sign within a circle. Which is the correct post to connect the positive jump lead to?

To answer your question. BOTH of the terminals under the plastic cap inside the bonnet of the Citroen Xsara Picasso are POSITIVE!! Yep! the + and the + in a circle are the SAME - POSITIVE.
To jump start the car, connect the POSITIVE of the jump leads to the + in the circle (DEAD battery) the other end of the POSITIVE to the positve of the LIVE battery. Connect the NEGATIVE lead of the jump leads to the NEGATIVE of the LIVE battery and the other end to the BONNET RELEASE CATCH of the Citroen. Start up the car with the LIVE battery - leave running for 2 minutes and then start the Citroen. Once the Citroen has started, switch on the headlights and heater on full blower and the disconnect the jump leads in REVERSE ORDER.

the battery itself should have a + and - marked on it,when you jump start and it is running turn on all lights, heater fan etc and leave for a couple of minutes, this avoids voltage spikes from the alternator burning out ecu`s,then disconnect your leads.Seen it done on some motors, costing thousands to fix.
