Cuisinart griddler top element not working?

Hi.
I have a Cuisinart griddler and the top element is not heating. Are there any trouble shooting tips out there or is it a loss?

I had the same problem. I bet once you open up the top of the griddler, you will find that one of the wires connecting to one of the two heating elements has broken-off due to steam corroding the wire. I'm not sure where to find a replacement wire, but I do know that it's a 36 AWG and needs to be able to withstand at least 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Try McMaster-Carr.
