the bi-metal has jammed,remove the plug from the mains socket,remove the lid,(screws at rear,slide it backwards to remove,look down inside the machine at right hand side looking at it from the front,use a screwdriver to pry the lock open,when the door opens the lock is held in place by two screws,on out side,go buy new lock,take old one with you as there are two diff types,the cables are in a plug and its polarity conscious,means will on one way,its a ten min job,lock cost u maby £23.00 trade is £3.49
