All this HKC talk means someone has flitted to the great emerald isle.

Who that be then?.

Unusual to see the securewave/watch gear over here :)

Same can't be said about the nova 6 Nick,
Slap in an upgrade kit and it gives most sounder's a run for their money.

Alarm if you are using HKC what about their sounder's or can you get the nova's for a better price?.

You know something guys in this industry it's all about fitting end user friendly/reliable equipment,HKC are just that and let's face it it's all about the money.

Ok the rapier's are sorted but try and factor one in for costing and keep your costs low,it's hard, and TBH we've only fitted a dozen or so in the last 18 months, just because of their expense.

Tex oddy as I've said before, the 3's were our choice and never had any complaints problems whatsoever.

I knew nothing about HKC stuff until it was mentioned on here some months ago, since then I've had all the training books and played with two one being the quantum.

I like them and they have some great features but I also like the gal's and the promax.

It's all about the money:D

Those new upgraded Novaguard 2's are shite! We fitted 100 of those not that long ago But we got a sweet deal with klaxon So ended up loosing money ripping the new novaguards out to replace them with flashguard's, Some customers have been a little upset due to the new "led" strobes being that dim they dont know when there alarm has set. there now cheap crap ! just like the oddysey range

we still have over one thousand 9800,s out there still going strong most on contract ,and I still have a scanny that it 33 years old now still going strong the user wanted it replaced coz the keypad not go with new décor,we fitted a 9651 but I kept old 9600 with poly carb keypad its on a board so I can play with it :-)

had a gander of the hkc stuff alarm guy, cant say am that impressed hate the look of them but each to his own ,I will stick to scanny gear, it works fine, looks good, and simple to prog and for the end user to op,and most important, very reliable

Did a m8 a favour today and the "kit" he had consisted of a Texe Compact with Optex Savers and a FlashGuard.
Talk about retro and minimalistic :D

Shite panel, its a stripped out Veritas.
Savers are just that.
The FlashGuard was a bit more impressive, although still giving a 6 wire option. But I liked the old FlashGuards, we used them alongside the Rapiers.
The Leds are highly visible in daylight and the single sounder is loud.
It all works and is suitable for the purpose intended, although not what I would personally choose.
Screwfix kit I think it was.
Had forgotten the Texecom Veritas menus, so was fun for a micro second. Only changed the part sets from out of the box anyway.
Oh and bells on Part Set was enabled.

Now use HKC panels and Nova Sounders.

ta for info mate me give it a try :-)n tried one years ago a stainless jobby with two covers,so if you tried to drill it you caused a short between the two covers, cant rem the make of it though

Gts,I can honestly say the rapier g4's are the dogs bollox mate,
We use them for our high end installs the vertec's and quartz for our G3 installes and we've also had a gud run on the tex oddy,s.

But the G4S is my fave by far,I had two 6510's on my home for around 12 mths but now upgraded to the new G4S,if I could get up my ladders mate I'd polish them daily :)

Can't get the G4's stainless covers in chrome only the polycarb,so had mine plated at a place in Rochdale that's chromed all my classic car and bike bits for me.

Alarm.
you sir are clearly a man with great taste :)

I reckon he should fit two, then create a full alarm condition, stand back and simply admire. :D

e manno, October 2013
MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the "Rapiers" love em.

Best sounders out there.
Some disagree. Some are fools :D

Alarm, October 2013
Most sounder's comfort led's and their strobe's don't appear visually strong during daylight hours, have a look tonight.

Excluding the elmdene rapier, now that's a proper sounder with discotec visuals and beautiful in design.

Can't afford one then try the quartz.

e manno, October 2013
Sorry i think you misunderstood, Not the "led's" I'm talking about the strobe well its not actually a strobe tube its more of a l.e.d

Bill, October 2013
