my ps2 (SCPH-50003) will not read any disk?

whenever i put a disk into the ps2 it 'wizzes' for really long, then it says disk read error. what should i do? i have already tryed cleaning the lens, but it did not help? please advise!

I have one too.. The only way i can get it to read disks is by hitting it in frustration a few times.

my ps2 is a scph-50003 will not read grantomismo 4 but the rest are fine.plese can someone help me how to make it work all the time. thanks

mine makes a funny noise when i put a disk in, try putting the ps2 on its side, that's what I do, i have that version of ps2

The 50003 is a lot harder to fix than the other models due to the 2 turning adjustments.
