Hi,
I understand that there is a reset button under the front light fairing that you can push to reset the belt light.
The problem is that the belt light is there to tell you something, namely that your belt has reached its replacement time. If you haven't changed the belt, maybe you should before you reset the light.
As for the cutting out, if you go to the owners forum you will see many people who have had this problem. Generally all engines need
1/ fuel
2/ spark
3/ air
look at these areas and if all is well you need proper diagnostics.
