the top arm of the dishwasher the part that connects to the back doesn't seem to be connecting properly will this stop the power light from coming on as I can replace this part but wonder if it could be another problem as well it is a Beko dishwasher dwd 4310s just needed to know before send off for a replacement thanks

No this will not cause the power light to go off you must have another problem. check you have power to the wall socket for the dishwasher by plugging in a lamp or something to it. Cheers
