1996 Peugeot 2.1 GXL TD?

The engine accelerates as normal but when the car is stationary with engine running it is erratic between 800 - 1000 revs. Additionally,the engine cuts out
(albeit intermittently) when depressing the accelerator as the car moves from a stationary position.The car has been in a garage for over a week and to date the mechanics are puzzled.The Bosch (under guarantee) pump has been sent away for checking and returned with no fault found.All wiring has been checked and despite checking with the appropriate software no code displaying a fault comes up. Anyone out there with similar past experience.Would be most grateful for an answer.

sound like my old 205 diesel wen the fuel heater went holed ,there may be the slightest crack/split in a fuel line or joint suckin in air you end up with a stream of bubles in the fuel, se if you can fit if temporarly a clear fuelnline just before the the pump look for bubles in fuel, also i think the turbo controles from the pump check the vacume controle lines for splits, was the pump suplyed with the minimum/anti-stall settings set corect for your car ask the suplyer about this.
