fisher and paykel smart drive 9 pride 5.5?

I asked a question recenty about my fisher and paykel pride, smartdrive 9 and didn't give enough info_the reson I didn't think it was the solonoids was because I had checked a lot online and all the info I found resigned me to the fact the solonoids stopped working gradually and were a slow trickel of water coming in before stopping...is that right? I turn it on...the lights do all the right things like it should until I press start..then no water goes in. The bowl does spin when I lift the lid up it stops, like it should. It just keeps going around when u put the lid back down and continues to go around as if there was water for abot 2minutes then beeps an error code of 3,4 and 7th light come on...I have been doing my best to try and fix it with the help of the internet everyday for a week. My daughter is washing her cothes in the shower please help! I have bought it off gum tree, had it for a week.

Okay the error code you give is error code 50 (presuming you are counting from left to right) That error code is saying it is getting a bad reading from the hot water solenoid. That can be caused by the wiring not plugged in to the solenoid properly, or a bad solenoid or a faulty control module which is getting the correct info from the solenoid but thinks it is wrong. Slow trickle of water coming in usually a sign of a bad solenoid not fully opening but highly unusual for both hot & cold to fail at the same time. Solenoids not fully opening can also be caused by the control module being faulty. I would suspect that the control board is causing both faults but it would be an expensive exercise to go and replace it without being sure it will fix the problem. You really need a service person to come who will test the parts and maybe have a spare solenoid and control board they can put in to see which fixes the problem before buying the new part and fitting it.
