The system is installed at my inlaws house which has now been let. The internal alarm has suddenly started to go off. The display fault light is on and the fault code is bF which I understand is "Battery Fault".
How can I fix it so the Alarm no longer goes off?
The tenant has to put in the 4 digit code that normally sets the alarm to stop it. There is no information about the system, who installed it etc, it is probably 25yrs old.

Cheap and nasty crap only last a couple of years if you lucky.

you need to replace the 7 amp battery inside the end station,but,you need the engineering code before you open the end station,key in 07890,now do you get a red dot and bleeping coming from the panel?if so your lucks in,now carefully open the end station,you will see the battery there be careful as there are mains voltage inside,replace the battery with new one,close end station key in 99 enter the panel will go back to day mode,and that's all there is to it !
