do i need a new panel?

hi
i have got a scantronic 9800 alarm panel
the other night while in the unarmed mode it started alarming with an AP alarm code
i entered the user code 3 times and then the alarm silenced but with the AP code on along with the service and fault LEDs
i changed the battery in the panel thinking it was that but it didnt work
so i decided to dig the user manual out from the bottom of a dusty drawer and read that
i then set about checking the 1 amp panel fuse which was fine, then i checked the output from the transformer which at 12v was also ok
i then checked all terminations for tightness etc and they were also ok
having done that i then went to each detector to see if they where working but the LEDs were not lighting up
i then went to the bell box and set about unscrewing the very rusty gutter bolts fixing the lid on, having got the lid off and checking terminals for tightness i checked the supply to bell box and there was non
the key pads did have power to them
i then went back to the main panel and checked the 12v ouput terminals to the detectors and there was no supply
not being able to see any other fuses in the panel that could have blown does this mean that the circuit board is duff and if so are they still available
the panel was fitted in april 1994 so is coming up for a big birthday and i would hate to have to replace it
any help or advice would be appreciated as i have not been able to find a similar problem on any forums
cheers

If you have no aux dc voltage outputs anywhere and the 1 or 2 amp AUX fuse is intact then try crashing it then rebooting with new battery.

you have the finest panel mate don't bugger it up by ignorance if you don't know how to fix it,get a guy who does, this panel is about 30 years old,and all she needs is to be looked after her battery replaced every 3 or 5 years, and she will serve you very well

don't mean to be rude mate but you don't have a clue, the 9800 panel,is very good and the trannie not give out 12 volts, more like 19.5 you need to do your home work before you kill this old girl get a pro look at it,because you will never get a better panel in my humble opinion the the scantronic 9800

Are you a Security Industry technician or a private individual?

Did you check the fuse by looking at it?
Why is 12 volts from the transformer "fine" ?

Did you disconnect all the detectors and check the voltages?
You went to the SAB????
Why?

And after all the above you look at the book???
