my washing machine is filling up but does,nt go any further?

my washing machine fills with water and then cuts off and freezes. then does not move after that. is it fixable.

everything is fixable but cost of repair can soon get close to the cost of a new one depending on make and model.What I would check here is the motor brushes assuming it has them as you forgot to tell us the make and model!!
