I am not sure on these but I would think the h/brake has to be off,some models are r/h wind on the o/s and l/h wind on the n/s and some models are r/h wind on both sides,you will soon know,if the piston is winding in you are ok but will have to experiment with both the r/h and l/h wind back tools,good luck
