even though pressing button..have taken button off but the inner connection appears to have stuck in machine therefore door locked

release cable stretched or broken.take top off and look down the front at the door release from the back and you will see 2 cables.pull the inner core to release the door.sometimes you can swap cables over to sort issue or replace them
