I cannot set the time on my Whirlpool generation 2000 oven. ?

When we have a power cut (which are often) the clock goes into flashing mode. We have tried pressing everything to do a reset. Nothing seems to work. Unfortunately we cannot use the oven when the clock is not set. Help

you press 2 button together then use the +/- buttons or up/down arrow buttons to set the time from flashing position
