My Fisher Paykel washing machine will fill without the unit being turned on and even without being pluged into the outlet. This problem just started after I had taken the hoses off to clean our sediment. Suggestions appreciated.
As ck said, sediment may have gone in and is now stopping the valve from sealing properly. You can't clean them out they are sealed units. Fit a new valve and problem should be solved.

if sediment has got stuck in valve it becomes like a dripping tap.only solution is to replace the inlet valve. Also make sure you have good water pressure to the machine as low pressure can cause valves not to lock off. Also if connected to a waste under a sink with other appliances check water isn't coming in from sink or from another appliance whilst draining
