how can i tell if my battery is ok sometimes wont start after standing over night but will start when jump started

check to see if the electrolyte level in the battery is fully topped up before you go replacing the battery,if you don't know what I mean,ask garage to do it,even some modern batterys need a top up

It's naff,the end.Had to change my Pug 206 batt two weeks ago the date on the batt was 11/2002 my car is 2003.It's winter a few degrees down will kill your battery,it is finished don't waste time and money looking for alternatives go to a quick fit replacement centre and replace it,free fitting.When it gets to this time of year if your bat is naff it will give up,the end.If you're jumping your dead.

take it to a garage who do free battery testing but what I would suggest you do 1st is charge it with a battery charger for 24hrs then see how it goes.If it still plays up get it drop tested
