Scantronic 9600 tamper fault ?

Hi all, I have a tamper fault on a scantronic 9600 Alarm panel, I can't find the tamper connections on the panel!! I am used to seeing just 2 tamper connections on panels were the tamper is just wired in series in one big loop. On these panels there is a cct connection and A/T connection for each zone. There is no where in the manual that says what these terminals stand for I'm guessing A/T could be the Tamper circuits and they are looped in the panel somehow. Also the keypad is showing keypad 01 tamper fault. Any help would be appreciated

Hi We are getting an Upstairs Window Tamper Fault - Reset Required - keeps sounding internally at random hours

Well the fact that I'm on this website proves that I'm actually trying to sort the issue rather than 'rip out and replace' as it turned out there was nothing wrong with the keypad or the tamper circuit going to the keypad, and as i mentioned the alarm wouldn't set because of the cut cables going to the windows,

as you know alarm guy if you know your stuff its a doddle scanny panels as you know are brill,no matter how old they are my 32 year old still going strong, how many of todays dross will last this long????we both know the answer to that one :-)
what gets me mate is the panel is telling them the fault, and they still ignore it ,as you said, throw away society ,don't use brains to fault find, just rip it out ,buy cheap trash,

The young pups cannot work this stuff out.

It is now a rip out and replace society.

This one got lucky.

RIP old Scanny amd Menviers.

Ok thanks for the help so far, how can I short the tamper circuit to the keypad, with only 0v, 12v and a signal wire, can this be done at the keypad or somewhere in the panel, or will I need a new keypad?

if there where any more faults the key pad would tell you, your prob is o/c tamper on keypad as its telling you,and no,you cant buy anything for this system now the parts are obsolete

I'm going to have another crack tomrrow, thanks for reminding me that I cant sus it out, I might try shorting the tamper circuit out and hopefully it will clear (well that was my plan) apperently some windows were put in the house about a year ago and there's some evidence of cables being moved possibly alerted in some way, I'm just concerned this may be a long list of faults on the system, is it possible to still get RKP's for these? This panel looks older than me.

And the modern series 3400 will display the same :D

Look after that old girl there's plenty of life left in her yet.

Maybe a new battery whilst you are in there.

Why wait for her to tell you?,be one step ahead ;)
