Why do my reverse lights stayon all the time?

My reverse lights stayon even in forward motion, this is casuing lots of problems. I have an S reg Peugeot 206 1.1. How can i get the lights to work normally again?

Sounds like a faulty or mal-adjusted reverse light switch. The switch is normally found screwed into the gearbox. Look for someting with a lead (1 maybe 2 wires) coming out and disconnect them. This should turn off your reversing lights until you can replace the switch.
