I have a hotpoint WD440 washer/dryer today it has completed the wash cycle but it wont spin. The drum turns around a few times like it is going to start spinning but then the drying light starts flashing and everything freezes so I need to switch it off at the mains to reset it I have done this several times now and it just keeps doing the same thing.

This happened last year and I just had to switch it off once at the mains and it rectified itself but this time its not working. Any advice on what the problem may be and how can we fix it would be greatly appreciated.
