maytag performa washing machine leaks from the bottom?

water leaking from under my maytag performa anyone know what might be the cause?

I have found my Maytag Performa was leaking from where the water drain hose connects to the pump. It is easy to access from the rear. I fixed it by putting an additional rubber ring seal cut from a water balloon on the pump's stem and then reattaching the hose.
