Whats wrong with my peugot 206 gti?

My peugot 206 gti (2005 137 bhp) engine is shuddering violently computer is saying catalytic convertor fault anti pollution fault and esp not working, I can't get it moving more than 20 mph does anyone know wots wrong with it? Don't want to take it into a garage as they will charge a fortune

log onto ebay and buy a MAXISCAN engine code reader for £15 and diagnose the fault yourself. I bought one and it paid for itself the first time I used it.
