Water pouring out of base plate?

Can anyone help. We have a MR Jet Stream Elite. It has been working fine until a few days ago when water now pours out of the base plate while it is steaming. The ironing is soaked from this. The cal indicator light is not coming on at the back of the iron but the two lights behind the water tank above the anti scale cartridge are both flashing blue/red. Any suggestions as to the problem?

Your flashing light also means the anti scale cartridge needs replacing.

Check the thermostat setting. If it is set too low, residual condensation that has collected in the sole plate will come out as water.
If this is a iron with water/boiler reservoir check to make sure lead hose is not forming a loop lower than the exit port. This will collect water and not allow excess to train back into tank.
