I had to turn off my mail electricity supply. After I did this my alarm kept sounding. I followed advice and managed to stop the alarm, however I am now unable to set the alarm at al when I press 'set' nothing happens at all. The only thing that seems to work is pressing 0123 but all this does is keeps beeping until I press 0123 again.
Please can anyone help as I can't set the alarm until I sort this problem.

Sorry I have been away from home and only now having a chance to get to a pc. I wasn't being ignorant just had a lot going on. Thank you for the response. It is a citadel alarm I was meant to put that info in my first message again sorry it was an error on my part as I have a few things going wrong in the house at the moment and I have a lot to sort I forgot to mention the alarm type.

I think I will have to call out the alarm company as the stand by battery was only replaced around 6 months ago.

the standby battery has had it,replace it but turn mains power off before you open the control panel the make or type of the alarm would help,
