How can I fix my F & P Smart Drive Pride 5.5?

My machine is stopping and starting, the duration between the stops and starts decreases with each subsequent one, then it stops altogether and beeps.

I have taken the agitator out and tried to put it through a cycle, as I've done in the past, but it didn't fix it. I then turned the power off at the wall and waited for a bit, and tried the process again. To no avail.

Why do you think it would beep? Do you think F&P would just make it do that for no particular reason? No, it is to tell you there is a problem and a read of the user manual will explain what to do. If you don't have one then you should get one either from F&P or Google. Anyway, there is 2 types of beeps. One is a musical rippling sound which is a user friendly warning usually telling you the load is out of balance, no water is coming in or it is over loaded. The 2nd is a steady beep every second. When that happens, do not press any buttons. Just write down which lights along the top row are on and which are off. Count from left to right and copy exactly. That is the error code which you need to post back here or give to a repair tech. who will tell you what the error means.
