Hotpoint Ultima Condenser Tumble Dryer (TDC62P)?

Hi,

Our tumble dryer is just turning but not getting hot? Any ideas on how we could repair this.

Thanks in advance

This happened to me. I orderd the thermostat kit on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. I expected there to be only one large panel at the back, so was a bit dismayed when there appeared to be about 5 different parts. First I unscrewed a small round thing in the middle (sorry for the lack of technical terms), then a long thin metal section going across the middle. Following that a large roundish bit that stuck out (you have to take the first two off to get to this). I took all the screws off this bit except the bottom few as they were hard to get to. I could tilt this section forward and the thermostats were at the top and visible immediately. I am a complete amateur with no imstructions and it still only took me 15 minutes from start to finish to complete. My dryer is now working perfectly!

2 sensors behind the rear cover about the size of 20p piece cost £13 to replace part number 1701583 one of them will have a grenn dot on the reverse. Simply remove old replace with new. Regards.

Darren,

This fault is common and usually due to the 'one shot' stat gone. They come as a kit and are located just above the heater element behind the rear cover. Just a matter of removing about a dozen screws. Remember to power off before replacement. We can supply the thermostat kit from here:

You need part number 1701583 - the first on the list.
