No it's ducted with a flexi hose that I pull out which is clean and clear and it does the same the same when the hose isn't connected and I cannot see anything obvious down the pipe in the back of the machine that the hose is connected too ???

does your tumble dryer hose go out through a wall vent?.If so does check it isn't blocked with fluff on the outside
