fails to work ,its freezing in here during winter there doesn,t seem to be
an airlock.Has anyone else come across this problem ????
Could it be water pump or heater matrix .HELP NEEDE PLEASE ...

it is one of 2 things its either the matrix like you suggested (which is a bugger to do) or its the thermostat' or in your case lack of it' make sure its in the housing if not your car was likely to have had overheating problems and the previous owner has removed it.
