My Optima XM won't accept security codes- day and power buttons light up?
I have tried to set my Optima XM alarm using the security codes. The day and power buttons are lit up and all other buttons work when I go into the programme mode. The system does not allow me to set the alarm. The battery was replaced less than 2 years ago.
true mate the scantronic panel is the best you can buy mate,very easy to programme and use ,it will do you proud ,if you have any questions on how to use it ,get back to us,

Thanks for the advice gts about getting a Scantronic system, no point in carrying on with an out of date system that keeps on breaking down.

How I default the system?
Sorry, I do know the security code that worked previously. I have tried it and it doesn't set the alarm now. I apologise for the misunderstanding.

So you have lost a code during a code change then.
All info as I said is needed.
You need to default the system and start again.
Unless you can try and remember the EXACT code you put in.
You could have said you had done a code change at first.

I tried using my existing security code, changed it, then tried the 0123 code. Now no matter which code I use none of them work and now none of the zones light up.

When I key in the security code, none of the 4 zones light up. Yesterday zones 1 and 2 lit up, today none do.
