how do you remove windscreen wipers of 10 grand scenic?

I have a grand scenic on a 10 plate and having problems with water in footwells. Looked at posts and am attempting to find drainage holes under scuttle. Got wipers loose but will not pull off also having same problem with scuttle. Any advice would be welcome

Thank you CDC will have a go but think I might end up going to a garage to get it sorted.

Usually use a small puller to remove wiper arms but if you are careful try levering up with a pry bar,loosen nut but don`t remove and give the spindle a sharp rap with a copper hammer,shocking the arm of it`s taper but be very careful you don`t damage anything.
